Cookies & Local Storage

A clear explanation of the browser technologies used to keep BaronFM working.

1. What these technologies are

Cookies are small data files placed by a website. Local storage and session storage are browser features that can remember state on your device. BaronFM uses these technologies where needed for sign-in, radio preferences, interface state, security and service operation.

2. Essential and functional storage

  • Authentication: Firebase may maintain the session needed to keep you signed in.
  • Radio preferences: local storage may remember whether the radio was playing and your selected volume.
  • Interface state: the site may remember routing, referral or temporary form/session information.
  • Security: hosting and service providers may use necessary technologies to protect sessions and prevent abuse.

Removing essential storage can sign you out or reset preferences.

3. External services

Playing the stream connects your browser to Radio.co. Signing in connects to Firebase. Opening advertisements, Google Play, YouTube, CPDGD or other external services may allow those services to use their own cookies or storage under their policies.

As of this update, BaronFM does not use Google Analytics or Firebase Crashlytics on the website for advertising analytics. If non-essential website analytics or advertising cookies are introduced, this notice and any required consent controls will be updated before use.

4. Your choices

You can inspect, block or delete cookies and site data through browser settings. Blocking all storage may prevent sign-in and other features from working correctly. Mobile advertising preferences and identifiers are controlled through the Android device and any consent options presented by advertising providers.
